MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur parents-teachers meeting and a special awareness class on the topic “role of parents in the holistic development of a child” was organised by St. Thomas Mission Society, the parent body of MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on March 9.
In the programme, MGMHSS principal, Fr. P. S Varghese spoke about the mission activities and features of the school. Society’s president Bishop Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, inaugurated the programme while administrator of Christian Higher Secondary School was the resource person.
According to Bishop Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius “each and every child is unique and special” and elaborated on three systems-parents, teachers and educational system which he said has to be interacted in a balanced way to bring prosperity in the society. He said that for the holistic development, parents must be a role model for their children. Around 400 parents participated in the programme.
