In regard to the system of tender on diet & washing as per the office circular letter No. DHFW-2/30/D/TENDER/2013-2014/11722 dated Kohima the February 19, 2016, the Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) has termed this as violation of government standing order.
In a press release, NCSU president Pele Khezhie and general secretary John Kath stated that recommendation for system of tender on diet & washing should be done away, as this was a direct violation of govt. standing order vide No. AR-13/2/85 dated Kohima, December 13 1986, GAB-1/Com/43/86 dated Kohima June 30, 86, Bud/8-7/95-96 dated Kohima October 4/95 that all contract work should be open tender and should be ID card holder of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union.
NCSU has therefore demanded open tender in all the contract works and in the eventuality of failing to comply with the government standing order, it would initiate legal action.
