To protest against what it called the “callous inaction” of the state government towards its three-point ultimatum, All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) would be holding phase-I agitation in the form of “abstention from regular classes” on March 5 and 7. In a press release, ANCSU President, Zhuko Thuolo and General Secretary, Benjong Longchar has requested all college executives in the state to ensure effective implementation of ANCSU directive. The union said that even after expiry of 15-day ultimatum, which was submitted to chief minister on February 17, 2016, the government has taken “no substantial initiative” till date.
