4 aspirant for RS seat, says BJP unit

Nagaland BJP state unit on Friday informed that the party has officially received an application from Hurui Zeliang, expressing interest to contest for the lone Rajya Sabha seat scheduled to be held on March 21. In a press note, BJP unit general secretary Mathew K. Janger claimed that Hurui was “an active member during the presidentship of N.C. Zeliang and presently a member of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Nagaland, advisor Janjati Vikas Samiti Nagaland, patron of Zeliang Heraka Association Nagaland and Visitor Nagaland University”. It may be noted that the BJP now has four aspirants for the lone Rajya Sabha seat, that includes— Dr. M. Chuba Ao (former BJP unit president), H.K. Khullu (retd. Addl CS), former minister T.A. Ngullie and Hurui Zeliang.
