One day awareness-cum-training programme on “climate risk management in agriculture and allied sectors” was organised by Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS), ICAR Research complex for NEH Region, Jharnapani in collaboration with KVK Tuensang on February 26 at CKS hall, Tuensang.
The programme was attended by 48 participants from different organizations such as DAO, Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS), ATMA, KVK and progressive farmers from different villages under Tuensang district.
The technical session discussed issues on climate change- crop production, season and cropping pattern, soil health under changing climate situation, agromet advisories to meet risks in agricultural front and plant protection measures of important crops with regard to change in environmental factors.
