Assam Rifles have distributed construction materials and also conducted veterinary camp at Maova village and Medziphema and Mengkolemba village, Mokokchung district respectively.
37 Assam Rifles: 37 Assam Rifles under aegis of 6 Sector Assam Rifles on February 19 distributed CGI sheets and hume pipes in Maova village and Medziphema respectively. It said the items were distributed as part of civic action by the battalion.
Six bundles of CGI sheets were handed over to the RSON Heart Orphanage at Maova village for construction of a new building for children of the orphanage. The project was aimed at improving living conditions of the children.
In another event, 37 Assam Rifles also distributed four hume pipes to the locals and Assam Rifles ex-servicemen of Ward No 9, Medziphema for construction of culverts.
44 Assam Rifles: 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles under “Op Sadbhavana” conducted a veterinary camp on February 21 at Mengkolemba village, Mokokchung district, Nagaland.
The camp was conducted by the medical team of 14 Mobile Veterinary Hospital, led by veterinary doctor, captain Rahul Sharma and a team of one junior commissioned officer and four other ranks of 14 Mobile Veterinary Hospital, Dimapur. The aim of the veterinary camp was to provide medical assistance and treatment to livestock to the needy people of this remote locality.
