Three key functionaries of NSCN (K) were apprehended by troops of 32 Assam Rifles from Eros line area, Dimapur on February 22, said PRO AR in a statement.
According to PRO, one of the three arrested cadres include, Kaghoto Asumi, brother of Max Asumi, finance incharge of NSCN (K) Dimapur, who was earlier apprehended by security forces.
A black colored bolero (NL 07C 3080) used by the three along with a weapon and tax collection receipts seized from their possession, PRO said.
They were planning to extort an amount of Rs. one lakh from a hotel owner on behalf of NSCN (K), PRO said. The three along with vehicles and recovered items handed over to East police station, Dimapur, PRO said.
