Chavara home organized a one day programme for the Catholic doctors and nurses working in various health settings of Dimapur on February 28. Altogether 48 doctors and nurses participated in the programme.
The main aim of the programme was to imbibe the spirit of merciful Jesus who went around healing the sick and suffering.
The Bishop of Kohima Rt.Rev.Dr.James Thoppil in his address said that nurses and doctors are the visible hands of God on earth, to show the same love and mercy to the sick and needy who comes in daily life as Jesus did. Rev. Fr.C.T.Varghese, Rector, Don Bosco school encouraged the participants through short videos and reflection.
The participants went home spiritually renewed to continue their ministry with more commitment and zeal to reach out to the needy with more love and affection.
