Immanuel College holds ‘4th parent-teachers association’

Immanuel College held its 4th parent-teachers association (PTA) meeting of B.A and B.Sc students on February 27 in the college auditorium. In the programme, principal, Th. Sharatchandra Singh stressed on the role of the college in the betterment of society, and at the same time the role of the parents as positive contributors to the welfare of the college through PTA. He announced the resolution of the college for the academic year to make the College campus “tobacco free zone” and “mobile free zone”.
PTA vice president, Kolukho Chachei spoke about the valuable contribution parents have to make for the welfare of the college especially in this crucial juncture where the college was preparing itself for NAAC assessment and accreditation.
The chairman of the governing body, Dr. A. Loso spoke on the responsibilities of the parents in the upbringing of their children; instil the fear of the lord, responsibility of studying hard, and give sufficient time to supervise their children.
 During the interaction, the parents expressed their appreciation to the college in fulfilling their suggestion that was put up in the last PTA meeting.  In the meeting new team of PTA were elected and constitution of Immanuel College PTA adopted.
