Tokheho distributes items under LADP scheme

Minister for PHED Tokheho Yepthomi on Tuesday distributed bicycle and sewing machine under first phase distribution programme of LADP scheme 2015-16 at village council hall, Dhansiripar which falls under his assembly constituency 3-Dimapur-III. 
Extending greetings to the gathering, Tokheho elaborated on various developmental activities undertaken by the department and also expressed on the need to work for the welfare of 3-Dimapur-III.
He cited some developmental activities like upgrading of schools, construction of roads and waterways that needed to be taken up under the constituency. Tokheho also briefed the gathering on various schemes. 
On Naga political issue, the minister said that government of India and NSCN (I-M) has been working hard to resolve the decades old Naga issue. 
He also briefed the gathering on the recent trip of Parliamentary Working Committee (PWC) of the Joint Legislators’ Forum on Naga political issue at Delhi. 
Also lamenting on Nagaland’s financial deficiency, he pointed that Naga people have been “cheating” themselves in issues like “proxy teachers” where people withdraw salaries without working.
Delivering a short speech, SDO (civil) Mhalo Humtsoe thanked the minister for “identifying the right need of the people”. She also highlighted on the importance of education and skill development.  
Short speech was also delivered by ex-GB Dhansiripar Lalram Difosa and other members. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Padampukhuri, Wati Walling, invocation prayer was pronounced by Union Baptist Church, Dhansiripar Pastor Chenirao Jungi and vote of thanks was delivered by head GB Shikavi village Avishe Zhimomi. 
Overall, 400 bicycles and 200 sewing have been received under the scheme, out of which 170 bicycles and 70 sewing machines were distributed among the beneficiaries as its first phase.  The second phase of distribution will be held at Singrijan.
