Vipralhou stresses on harmonious, peaceful co-existence in Kohima

Kohima Village Gazetted Officers’ Association (KVGOA) conducted its biennial conference at Kohima village council hall with SCERT director Vipralhou Kesiezie as the speaker on Friday.
Kesiezie in his speech said KVGOA had great roles and responsibilities to play as Kohima was the state capital. He reminded the members the need to work hand in hand with the state government for progress and development of Kohima and the state as a whole. He stressed on the need to coordinate with other tribal bodies for a harmonious and peaceful co-existence in Kohima town. 
He encouraged the KVGOA members to recollect the many blessings of God showered upon them, at the same time challenged the association to work for the greater welfare of the people of both the village and the state. Stressing on the importance of coordination, he said, Naga people lack coordination and are filled with hatred, jealousy etc. which will take us all down and that we need to play a constructive role of a coordinator and work towards the progress and development of the Naga people with a broader attitude and better perspective.
He urged the members present to play an important pro-active role towards the successful implementation of Kohima Smart City, look into the garbage management and traffic congestion which would pose as a big problem in the coming years.
He emphasized on the need of conservation and preservation of PulieBadze and JapfĂĽ range from further depletion as educated and think tank members of the society and them urged to also create awareness and set a good example to the people.
The programme was chaired by KVGOA vice president Er. Pelezotuo Miachie-o, God’s blessings was invoked by Khedi Baptist church pastor Rev. Pelhousehu Belho.
The presidential address was delivered by MezhĂĽ-o Solo while general secretary and treasurer reports were given.
A special number was presented by Thejasilie Sekhose, while vote of thanks was proposed by Thepfuzakie Angami. Around 70 members attended the function. It may be mentioned that KVGOA has around 400 members from the four Khels of the village.
