Western Yimchungru Students Union (WYSU) has flayed the state government “delay tactic” and “internationally holding up” YAA golden jubilee at Shamator and rescheduling to January 14 to 17 on the request by the state cabinet.
In a press release, WYSU president, Amos and general secretary, Tsukhumong claimed that state government instead of acting upon and accordingly reviewing the decision of December 30, 2015 after being informed about the rescheduled date has kept the students community in darkness. WYSU also claimed that state government should have convened an emergency cabinet meeting, and prevented the confusing among the students and the public at large, if the government was really serious.
Therefore, WYSU said it has strongly recommended the YAA to celebrate the jubilee on the mentioned dates for the convenience of the students’ community since it was “legitimate programme in the eye of law”. WYSU further urged its federating units and public in western area to support the leaders in their stand and to be prepared for any eventuality.
