National cadet corps (NCC) cadets who had attended Special National Integration Camp at Patkai Christian College on January 7 and 8 got a glimpse into the routine functioning of Assam Rifles unit, where around 600 cadets from all over India had visited 37 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 6 Sector Assam Rifles.
Cadets during their visit to the battalion were shown various institutions/departments and were apprised about the routine.
NCC cadets were sensitised about the operational achievements of 37 Assam Rifles during an interaction with the commandant. Cadets were also shown the weapon and equipment display as part of the visit.
The cadets were highly impressed with the new generation equipment and simulators being used by the Assam Rifles and showed keen interest in acquiring knowledge.
Apart from the visit of cadets, 37 Assam Rifles has also rendered assistance to NCC group, Kohima for smooth conduct of SNIC from 30 December 30, 2015 to January 10, 2016, giving the  National cadet corps  (NCC) cadets an insight into a soldier’s life and to motivate them to take-up Armed Forces as a career option in future.
