N. Thomas graces Lakhuti-I officers’ forum session

Lakhuti-I Officers’ Forum (LOF) held its general session on January 9 at the residence of James Mhonbemo, Chumukedima.
Exhorting the gathering at the session, N. Thomas Lotha, MLA said the people of Lakhuti should thank the Almighty God as “many officers” has emerged from the village.
Urging the forum to foster unity and oneness to take forward the village, he said the forum should act as a catalyst for the benefit of the Lotha community in particular and for the Nagas in general.
Reminding the gathering for progressive society, starting from village council, he said “we” need to have strong based village council, whereby he urged the forum members to contribute ideas to make the village council a strong foundation for all round economic development of the village.
During the session the forum also decided to conduct a one day seminar on “Prospective Review of the Socio- Economic Advancement of Lakhuti Village” on January 29 at Lakhuti village.
The synopsis of the proposed seminar was presented by director Land Resources & Treasurer LOF, Mhathung Yanthan.  
Earlier president Lakhuti-I Officers’ Forum (LOF) additional director Geology & Mining, Etsungmomo Kikon who chaired the session welcomed the members of the forum.
Highlights of the programme included invocation by associate pastor DLBC, Lalongo Yanthan, annual report by LOF secretary, additional GM NST, O. Elhibemo Yanthan and vote of thanks by vice-president LOF, joint director Treasury & Accounts, R. Nzanbemo Yanthan and benediction by SDO (R&B) &Cathechist, M. John Humtsoe.
Meanwhile, the forum has requested all the bonafide members to attend the proposed seminar.
