Workshop for young women in Tuensang

North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) with funding support from the British Council in partnership with DIAGEO organized training workshops on Young Women’s Social Enterprise Development Programme (YWSEDP) where 100 women participated from various villages under Tuensang.
The training programme created a platform for women to develop into entrepreneurs focusing to make women self-reliant and empower them with economic independence.
 The training was conducted in four batches, consisted of women between the ages of 18 to 40 years, these women came from all walks of life, and they were students, fresh graduates, high school dropouts, housewives and widows. 
Resource persons for the training programme were Toshisangla Chang and Pangchangkhumla Chang of Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS), Tuensang.
Topics including introduction to social enterprise, need identification generating ideas, marketing plan, business models and planning, accounting and financial plans, legal and policy issues and business management were covered during the programme.
