Silent procession in Jalukie

Around 1500 protestors from various organizations Monday carried out silent procession in Jalukie town extending solidarity to the bereaved family members of late Akiam, who was found murdered on January 2.
The procession which started from Mid-night market, where the protestors marched till SDO (C) office Jalukie,  and submitted a memorandum with three charter of demands.  
The demands included- booking of the culprit at the earliest and to prevent escalation of the situation, adequate ex-gratia to the nearest kith and kin of the deceased and increase security coverage in the vulnerable areas in the town.
Silent procession was carried out under the aegis of Jalukie Town Chairmen Union, Jalukie Town GB Union, Jalukie Town Women Welfare Union, Jalukie Town Youth Organisation, Jalukie Town Traders Union and Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland.
