ETSU golden jubilee underway

Emlo-To Students’ Union (ETSU) golden jubilee celebration commenced on December 28 at Emlomi village and would culminate on December 30.
The second session on December 29 was graced by parliamentary secretary Justice & Law and SIRD, Picto Shohe who also unveiled the monolith while convenor IMF, Rev. Samuel K. Chishi dedicated it with a prayer.
While hoisting the union flag, Picto Shohe underscored the importance of development and said no one should hamper the process of development.
Host of important bureaucrats, politicians and student leaders attended the event. SKK president Holuvi Chophy delivered the greetings while cultural troops of Litsa, Emlo, Suko and Yesheluto village displayed folk dance and songs.
Earlier, welcome speech and song was presented by GB Khetovi and Vinokali Chishi respectively.
The evening session witnessed the inaugural of the theme “Glorious Generation”, where youth pastor Thilixu Baptist Church, Dr. Phitoli L Khala asked the congregation whether “we” could count our self in this glorious generation. She said that the youth needs to excel in this fast changing times.
ARSU president Shunato and founder Emloto students union Atoshe spoke also on the occasion.
