Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has completed 12th road project during 2015.
On Tuesday, the 12th road repaired and renovated by DMC at Bank Colony was inaugurated by Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) Ltd Chairman Tovihoto Aye.
Addressing a brief programme, Tovihoto said that the government was committed and determined to work for the welfare of the people. He also acknowledged state chief minister, T.R.Zeliang and parliamentary secretary for Municipal Affairs R.Tohanba for their assistance and intervention in bringing development.
While emphasizing on developmental works, Tovihoto called upon the people to have sense of belongingness and dwelled on maintaining unity for development in the state.
DMC CEO H. Atokhe Aye briefing on the yearlong projects of DMC said it was their duty to provide basic services to the public. To this, he sought support from public in executing the work smoothly.
It may be mentioned that DMC in 12 months have competed 12 road projects including two gravel roads and one cement concrete road. DMC has also constructed 10 numbers of R.C.C.Box culvert, two numbers of Hume pipe culvert, one minor bridge, 56 numbers of dustbins, 16 numbers of drain works with cover slab while two numbers of drain work with cover slabs under construction.
