Pukhayi asks youth to be torchbearers of society

Parliamentary secretary for Soil & Water Conservation Pukhayi Sumi has called upon the youth to torchbearers of the society.
Speaking at Khezhakeno Youth Organization (KYO) 32nd general session on January 22 as the chief guest, Pukhayi asked youth to fear god, to be responsible and remain united so that they could lead the society in the right direction.
He also encouraged the youth of Khezhakeno to assist the rest of the villagers in electing god fearing and right representative to the State Assembly.
 Terming Khezhakeno is an ancestral home of the Nagas, Pukhayi said that most of the major tribes have migrated from this village. He said Khezhakeno being the ancestral home of the Nagas the youth and inhabitants of the village should set a good example to the rest of the society.
Also speaking at the programme, Advisor treasuries & accounts Dr. T.M. Lotha briefed the gathering on unemployment problem in the State. 
Stating that the State government cannot accommodate all educated youth in the government sector, Lotha urged youth to focus on private sector. He also pointed out that Khezhakeno village possess immense potential in tourism sector.
Parliamentary secretary for planning & coordination, evaluation, monitoring cell and taxes Neiba Kronu said that Khezhakeno is one of the most visited places in Nagaland because of its historical importance and eco-tourism.
He asked the village to make the best use of its potentialities to boost the economy of the village.
Khezhakeno Village Council chairman S. Kepfiilhou also spoke on the occasion while M. Kodonyi Sono pronounced an act of blessing.
