Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) has extended support to Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) and the subsequent joint ultimatum served by Ao Senden and Ao Kaketshit Telongjem.
In a press release, DAYO president K. Longri Imchen and general secretary Meyatoba stated that this was “unanimously” resolved during its executive meeting held on January 23.
Supporting the ultimatum served to Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) director under the department of school education, Nagaland, DAYO said it upholds the demand along with the parent bodies and cautioned that the department would be sole responsible for any eventuality that could arise due to the negligence.
It reminded the department that the ultimatum would expire on January 31.
Meanwhile, Dimapur Ao Youth Organization has also strongly condemned January 18 incident in which four unidentified gunmen entered the residence of Er. Sungti Amer, at Padumphukhuri, Dimapur with “criminal intention” to commit offence.
In a condemnation letter, Dimapur Ao Youth Organization stated that such kind of activity in the society should be dealt with and further affirmed that they would not remain as “mute onlooker”.
Dimapur Ao Youth Organization also urged upon the law enforcing agency to thoroughly investigate the matter at the earliest.
