Army recruitment rally would be held, primarily for the youth of Nagaland only, from April 1 to 6 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima (Nagaland) for enrolment of male candidates into the Indian Army, according to a defence release.
For candidates from Nagaland, vacancies are available for soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/store keeper technical / inventory manager and tradesmen categories. No vacancy is available for Soldier Nursing Assistant category.
Defence release stated that screening of the candidates would be done as per admit card date depending on the total number of on line application in each category. Effort will be made to club district wise on the basis of production of Admit Card generated after applying online at joinindianarmy.nic.in.
The candidates have been advised to report at rally site at 6 a.m. strictly as per the dates given on admit card for the recruitment rally. It is clarified that a candidate can register and apply only once during the rally and if an individual is found to have applied twice, one of his application will be cancelled.
Candidates who have registered in the previous rally can login directly and check eligibility and apply fresh. The online application will open from February 1.
The release also stated that for the tests on April 1, mostly all male candidates from Peren, Phek, Kiphire and Zunheboto districts would get their admit card. On April 2, 16 candidates from Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung and Mon districts may get their admit card and on April, 16 candidates from Wokha Tuensang & Dimapur districts may get their admit card.
NCC cadets, sons of servicemen/ex-servicemen/ war widows would also appear as per the admit card dates. DSC enrolment would take place on all three days.
Written exam for all categories would be conducted at Rangapahar on May 29. Candidates have been advised to check the rally poster for age categories, certificates required and other details displayed at each DC Offices, notice board of PRO etc. while help of Assam Rifle units can also be taken to ascertain the details, stated the release.
