NSCN (I-M) has expressed sadness over the demise of Hulang Pame, member of steering committee, on May 31, at his residence in Samziuram Village after a prolonged illness. A condlolence note from NSCN (I-M) MIP said that Late Hulang Pame, s/o Dineikam Pame, was of the Zeme tribe, born in 1914 joined the Naga national service (NNC) in 1956. He was appointed as the political organizer of the NSCN (I-M) in January 1992 and in 2016 he was elevated to steering committee member.
“The Naga Nation is very much indebted to him for his unrelenting service for the National Cause” it said. The note added that while his demise had brought irreparable loss to the nation, his steadfast commitment and sacrificial service rendered to the cause of the nation shall ever be cherished with pride and honor. It extended its deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and conveyed prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.
