NDPP expresses gratitude

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has expressed its appreciation for the people of Nagaland, officials and organizations for the recently conducted by-elections.
A press release from NDPP media & communication committee congratulated the people for “positively participating” in the election and said that the high polling percentage shows the people’s faith in democracy.
NDPP appreciated the people for the mostly incident free election “Irrespective of the outcome”.
“The NDPP carried out a responsible, mature and vision oriented campaign, which was aimed at uniting all sections of the people” the release stated.
It however termed as “unfortunate” “that our adversaries focused more on a divisive agenda along communal and religious lines which was never before witnessed in Nagaland.”
It asserted that the PDA refused be drawn into any paper war and remained focused on their agenda of bringing all sections together. 
NDPP also extended its appreciation to the Election Commission of India and the State Election Department along with all the government machineries for conducting the elections successfully in an exemplary manner. 
Further, it extended appreciation to Church organisations, tribal hohos, civil societies and NGOs for their support and positive contributions. 
It also appreciated the coalition partners of the PDA for their support, solidarity and cooperation. “The show of cohesiveness and understanding within the alliance will motivate all of us to rededicate ourselves towards serving the people” NDPP stated.
