All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has requested the state government and the department to stop the “discrimination” against Hindi teachers and use the same yardstick of treatment for all state employees. In a press release from its general secretary, A.S. Yarthotngam, ANHTU said that the 1379 Hindi Teachers who were appointed in the year 2012-13, on regular basis, have not been receiving their salaries regularly. Also, some of the DDOs had not released the 7th ROP arrears of some teacher, the release said.
ANHTU lamented that the Hindi teachers had been receiving their salaries after 7-8 months of it being pending. “Even at present, it has been 3 months that the salaries of the Hindi Teachers have not been released yet” it said. Because of this, the release said that the teachers were facing problems arranging money for the higher studies of their children as well.
