State BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu, and party rank and file Friday congratulated Tokheho Yepthomi on his massive victory in the Lok Sabha by-election. BJP Nagaland said that despite “stiff opposition and propagandas” against PDA during the campaign season, the result proved people’s support and faith on the PDA government. BJP expressed gratitude to the people of the state for voting and electing PDA candidate. It also appreciated the chief minister Neiphiu Rio for spreading the campaign for PDA candidate effectively and tirelessly. Besides the state machineries, the party appreciated PDA alliance partners and acknowledged 12 BJP legislators and all party workers for their active participation in the by-election.
