Maths learning enhancement programme

A four-day workshop on development of resource document for Class 6 to 8 for Mathematics Learning Enhancement Program Nagaland (MLEPN) was held at SIEMAT hall, SCERT, Kohima from April 24 to 27. 
A press release from SCERT stated that director SCERT, T. Sekhose in his speech said the schools in Nagaland were fortunate to have good infrastructure, teachers and other resources. However, he regretted that the national achievement survey and school report card showed that the students were not doing well in mathematics. He therefore expressed hope that with this initiative, the report of students in the subject of mathematics would improve.
Head of mathematics cell SCERT Thungchibemo Lotha, reader, SCERT delivered the key note address in the programme chaired by Lanukala I Jamir, research associate, SCERT and the concluding remarks were pronounced by Kethovilie Sachu, TRA, SCERT. 
Altogether 32 mathematics teachers attended the workshop.
