MVI check gate issue: Protestors warn of indefinite NH-39 bandh

Hundreds of people from Bokajan area staged a protest march to express their resentment against taxation at Khatkati MVI check gate. The protest march began from Sukhajan petrol pump up to SDO (C) Bokajan office where a memorandum, addressed to the Prime Minister, was submitted.
The protestors also served a 7-day ultimatum on Assam government to resolve the issues failing which the agitators warned of imposing an indefinite blockade along NH-39. 
During the protest, All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) president Anil Toppo, Bokajan Hindi Bhashi Shanstha chief advisor Bijay Singh and Shivnath Singh, a transporter from Lahorijan gave short speeches.
A memorandum was handed over to Assam Transport minister through SDO (C), signed by AASAA, BHBS, All Assam Bengali Youth Federation, Dimapur Transport Association and Bokajan Mini Pickup Van Association.
