NSSATA phase-I stir from today

Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) Tuesday said it has decided to launch phase-I agitation, as decided earlier, in the form of pen down strike starting from May 2, 2018 “till further direction.”
In a press release, NSSATA president, Penthungo Y Yanthan, and general secretary, Vinoka Sohe, said they met advisor for school education, and department officials at the advisor’s office, Kohima on Tuesday to discuss about the ultimatum served on April 23, 2018 on the government.
However, the signatories said the discussion could neither produce any concrete solution nor could the government give any assurance to the association. Therefore, they said the association was left with no other option but to initiate the agitation.
Meanwhile, the association has directed all its members to strictly adhere to the resolution passed. Further, it expressed regret to the public and especially the student community for the inconvenience caused. The association has also sought support and cooperation from all right thinking citizens and organisations.
