Recognise role of working force: Gov

On the eve of May Day, Nagaland governor, PB Acharya, has called upon all responsible to recognise and celebrate the enormous role, the working force plays in enabling the nation attain rapid socio-economic progress.
In his message, Acharya saluted the determination and hard work of service givers in Nagaland, saying they play a big role in the state and the country’s progress. “It is an occasion when we pay tribute to the contribution that workers have made to the progress, prosperity and wellbeing of our society,” said Acharya.
May Day, also known as International Labour Day or Labour Day, is celebrated on May 1 marking the victory of the workers’ movement. 
The governor stated that workers were creators of wealth in every field of life. “Work is worship. Exploitation of workers is a crime and is inhuman” Acharya stated. The governor also appealed to all labour organisations to contribute towards building a ‘Swachh’, ‘Samriddh’ ‘Shashakt’ and ‘Niryog’ Bharat.
