Western Yimchunger Hoho (WYH), has condemned the “unprovoked killings of four cadres, belonging to Yimchunger tribe of NSCN-U” at Leangkonger village, Shamator sub-division of Tuensang district by the 15 Assam Rifles on November 15,2015.
WYH president P.K.F. Tochu and information and publicity secretary Lakiu Kips, expressed dismay that the cadres were fired at point blank range and killed after they were apprehended.
WYH said the AR’s claim that the incident was “accidental encounter” was avoidable as the four were apprehended before they were killed. It said the incident was a clear violation of Cease Fire Ground Rules and violated the December 18,2007 ENPO resolution. WYH said when every Yimchunger frontal organisation was praying for peace, the killings would only cause further bloodshed.
