NSCN (R)-Shangnyu village resolve issue: KU

Konyak Union (KU) on Friday informed that the “misunderstanding” between NSCN (R) and Shangnyu village have been resolved amicably through the initiative of KU. 
In a press relase, Konyak Konyak Union president S. Manlip Konyak and general secretary Y. Hosea Konyak, said that the union initiated a joint meeting on October 24 with leaders of the NSCN (R) and Shangnyu village at KU office, Mon HQ wherein a three-point resolution was adopted. According to Konyak union following were the resolutions:
1. Resolved that, as per the KU standing resolution No.10. the NSCN (R) demand/fine which was imposed on Shangnyu village shall not be paid as it was a self violations and betrayal by own cadres.
2. The Shangnyu village shall immediately withdraw the non-co-operation against NSCN (R) and that the message of peace being restored between the two parties would be intimated to all those villages.
3. The Konyak Union shall not speak or involve with regard to NSCN (R) designation camp and land issues, as it involved Govt.’s approval. 
It was further resolved that “no such allegations and misconstruction” between the two party should evolve, to maintain the peaceful environment in the area and in the interest of general public.
The Konyak Union has fervently appealed to all Naga Political groups (NPGs) and its citizens to restrain from creating any kind of situation that would disrupt the peaceful environment in the village area or district Hqs.
