‘World Malaria Day’ observed in Kohima district

National Vector borne diseases control programme (NVBDCP) under CMO’s office observed “World Malaria Day” under the theme, “Ready to beat malaria” on April 25 at ten villages under Kohima district.
A press release from CMO Kohima, Dr. Ritu Thurr stated that activities such as sources reduction and cleanliness drive were conducted at Mitelephe, Khonoma, Sechu Zubza, Nerhema, Rumensenyu, K. Station, Tesophenyu, Rengmapani, Tseminyu and Zisunyu villages. 
Emisenla DVBD consultant sensitized the villagers on the signs and symptoms of malaria and also on availability of blood test and free medicines. 
The participants of the event were the surveillance workers, ASHAs, MTS and the consultant.
