Seminar on ‘exploring job opportunities’

Seminar on “exploring job opportunities and motivation” for general BA students was organised by Baptist college Kohima on September 26.
The workshop divided into three sessions was attended by resource persons such as principal of polytechnic Kohima Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, proprietor of entrepreneurs associates Niechute Duolo and vice principal of Baptist college Kohima Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe.
Er.Vipulhou Lhoungu appraised on government job opportunities and various examinations conducted by the government yearly.
He also urged the students to look beyond government jobs as it had been overstaffed. Neichute Doulo stressed on the need for the young minds to explore the entrepreneur domain, which he insisted was not just an income generating territory but survival aspect of the future Naga society. He further urged the students to wake up from their languorous state as idleness would take them nowhere in life. Dr Kewepfuzu Lohe, urged the students to identify where their individual interest lie while searching for job opportunities. He spoke on the importance of making the right decisions with a conviction in taking decision. He also spoke about the vitality of having a blueprint or a roadmap of one’s plans while warning the students of the dangers of rushing into conclusions. Vice principal further encouraged the students to always give the best of efforts.
