Mock-drill and disaster management trg

One day mock-drill and disaster management training under the directive of the Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards (CD&HG) was conducted at Sazolie College (SC) Jotsoma on September 28 with district commandant Mulai Lamniah and other trained personnel from CD&HG, Kohima office as resource persons. During training, commandant Lamniah gave a power-point presentation on various aspects of disaster management and enlightened the gathering with the dos and don’ts especially during emergencies. He also stressed on the importance of incorporating disaster management course in educational institutions. Mock-drill on evacuation and demonstration on first-aid administration or Pre-Hospital Treatment (PHT) and post-disaster operation (rescue and recovery) were also conducted.
