CS addresses AhoDs and HoDs

Various problems and challenges faced by the departments were deliberated at the AhoDs & HoDs meeting, held under the chairmanship of the state chief secretary (CS), Pankaj Kumar, IAS Tuesday at the Secretariat Conference Hall. 
According to DIPR, departments such as Social Welfare, Election, Health & Family Welfare and P&AR, gave power point presentations based on their activities and programmes. 
In response to presentation made by the Social Welfare Department, the chief secretary asked the directorates and districts offices, which were in the offing to build new offices, to come up with a provision to construct ramps for disabilities. 
Department of Health & Family Welfare pointed that every year Rs. 22 crores have been incurred for medical reimbursement and scrutinizing those bills and cash memos was a real challenge. 
To this, it stated the need for more manpower, in order to identify those dependents availing medical reimbursement. While referring to poor attendance in the Civil Secretariat, the departments of Home, P&AR and IT&C have been assigned to work out the modalities in order to improve the system of functioning. 
Also, highlighting on the importance of personnel information management system, the CS urged all the departments to send their officers for training. 
CEO, Sanjay Kumar IAS, also highlighting on the electoral revision, said it needed massive support and sought cooperation from the officials in the revision process.
