Public Forum Pungro and Yimchunger Tribal Council with the help from district administration and village councils- Pungro, New Vongti, Pungren, Tutheyo and Kiphire Town Vehicle Owners Union (KTVOU) repaired Likhimro Hydro Electric Project (LHEP) road from NH202 Junction via 02 bridge to Pungro town area stretching 22km.
It took three days for the members to repair the road, said Pungro Town Public Forum.
Forum said LHEP road remained unrepaired from 2001 after it was abandoned by GREF personnel.
Meanwhile, public of Pungro appealed to the concern department to take up the road project at the earliest.
