Survival Nagaland (SN) has appealed to the district administration Dimapur to authenticate the nature of documents issued by the deputy commissioner office to Md. Inzamul Hoque Talukdar in 2012, as well as to trace the source of recommendation endorsed by the villages/colonies council chairman/GB in the issuance of NOC, PRC to him.
In a press statement, SN media cell said state government need to stand firmly in its decision aided by adopted law/notification and provision in protecting the right of the indigenous recognised tribes of Nagas. It stated that government must not bow down to the demand of the petitioner, who had filed a case against the higher education department of Nagaland and in regard to 44 aspirant local candidates against the reserved seat of MBBS/BDS of Nagaland state quota.
SN expressed its reservations at the random and irregular practices of local GB/chairman of various colonies/villages in issuance of legal documents like NOC, PRC etc to non Nagas without taking the possible future repercussions into account. It stated that despite DC issuing notifications and orders to all GB/chairmen not to issue document certificates randomly, it had been disregarded by the concerned head of colonies/villages.
To this, SN appealed to the competent authority to identify such irresponsible local authority and award befitting punishment, even to the extent of stripping off their government appointee title. SN further warned that it would leave no stone unturned in seeking out the deserving rights and justice to the people.
