Hundreds of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) employees availed various health facilities at the medical-cum sensitization camp organized by DMC at its office premises on Sunday.
The camp was organised by DMC in collaboration with Rotary Club of Dimapur led by its president Temsusenla Kichu and a medical team headed by Dr. D.R Sharma.
Employees after physical check up were provided medicines while proper sanitation guidance was also imparted to them in order to overcome health hazards.
At the camp, DMC chief executive officer Atokhe Aye stressed on the need of sensitizing employees on harmful impact of cleaning works on their health.
He said most of the employees engaged in menial works of cleaning dirt and drainages were not aware of the harmful effect on their health. For which, he suggested medical assistance to these employees.
