Reeling under power crisis for nearly three weeks, after the main 5MVA transformer broke down on August 26 last, the department was working round the corner to restore power supply by September 17. This was disclosed by SDO (E) Mokokchung, Temjensangba to officials of NPF Mokokchung division who paid a good will visit to power house in Salangtem Ward Tuesday.
During an interaction SDO also apprised the NPF officials led by president, Moasangba Jamir that installation of the transformer was almost completed.
To this, Mosangba lauded the department especially the electrical maintenance staff and transmission staff of Aolijen, for their effort to revive the power supply in Mokokchung and its adjoining areas. He said this was the worse power crises Mokokchung had faced.
Moasangba also encouraged the staffs to let this prevailing crisis to be an example so that such crisis can be avoided in the future.
Meanwhile, NPF division president lauded power minister for his concern for the people of Mokokchung in such critical hour and his assistance to provide power to the people at the earliest. Field staff president appreciated the visit of NPF Mokokchung Division.
