Under the aegis of The Watchman, the Jesus Brigade (JB youth team) comprising of 14 members conducted a programme on sensitizing adolescence as part of their school campus ministry on August 28.
A press release from Jesus Brigade media cell stated that students of classes 10 to 12 attended the programme at Vision Home Higher Secondary School on the topics of adolescence problem, peer pressure, effects of liquor and abortion.
It stated that JB team member Aseto Khieya made a power point presentation on the topics and sensitized the students about the dangers of instant gratification.
Jesus Brigade said the programme was well responded by the students where 46 students committed their lives to Christ, 19 re-dedicated their lives to Christ and 42 students committed for a 5 minute prayer for Nagaland and its people, while many more came forward for counselling.
Earlier in the programme, invocation prayer was offered by Aleno Punyu and president of TW, Rev. D. James Ngullie highlighted the focus and mission of the team and purpose of campus ministry. The worship was led by TW vice president Rev. Akho Punyu.
The release also stated that school administrator Yanger Imchen acknowledged the JB team for the spiritual experience imparted to the students.
