A co-ordination meeting was held at ADC office Bhandari with DC and SP Wokha along with the DC and SP Golaghat and Sector Commander (Sector C & D). During the meeting some border issues were discussed including the construction of neutral force BOP at Chandalashung-B (DAB sector -C). DC Golaghat assured the meeting that check would be put on harassment of Nagas to ensure safety for Nagas travelling through Assam.
They also agreed to activate the Border Peace Committee and also conduct outreach programmes, cultural exchange programmes and inter sports events to foster cooperation and peace for better understanding between the two states. Both sides agreed to be transparent in sharing information and approach things with a cooperative mindset to solve issues within the BM level/DC level without sending them to the higher authorities.
The meeting was attended by DC and SP Wokha, ADC Bhandari, SDO (C) Ralan, SDPO, EAC Bhandari and also DC and SP Golaghat, Sector Commanders (Sector C & D).
