Sub-Divisional Departmental Coordination Forum (SDDCF) meeting for the month of July was held on July 29 under the chairmanship of SDO (C) Changtongya, Chumlamo Humtsoe at DB’s Customary Court.
The meeting discussed the ensuing Independence Day celebration wherein the chairman requested all the principals of private schools and NCC Government High School to participate as parade contingent. He then entrusted OC Changtongya as in-charge and informed them to coordinate with him for the practice.
The house decided that a football exhibition match will be played between lady government employees and Watsu Union Changtongya, under Changtongya sub-division and tug of war competition among the wards under Changtongya town.
The chairman informed all head of offices to have compulsory attendance during the Independence Day and to take action against those absent staff without valid reason.
As decided at the last SDDCF meeting to organize an inter-departmental football tournament under Changtongya sub-division, a five member organizing committee was formed with SDO (C) as convenor.
The chairman informed the house that the first inter-departmental football tournament will commence from August 4-15 and will be participated by eight teams.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the eight department team for coming forward to participate at the tournament and said that the success and failure of the tournament depend largely on head of offices and requested them to cooperate with the organizing committee.
The organizing committee entrusted Changtongya Town Ao Students’ Union to be the volunteers during the tournament. OC Changtongya informed the house and requested all to be vigilant and alert to avoid any untoward incident during the Independence Day celebration. The meeting was hosted by CDPO Changtongya and attended by all the private school principals under Changtongya town and also the president Changtongya Town Ao Students’ Union.
