Population stabilization fortnight activity was conducted from July 11-24at Longleng district.
During the fortnight, IEC members along with DCM and Asha coordinators conducted focus group discussion targeting lactating mothers, pregnant mothers and eligible couples on the topic ‘family planning’ and also distributed IEC materials on local dialect ,OCP pills and condoms.
Altogether, 62 IUCD insertions were performed at district hospital, Tamlu PHC, Yongnyah PHC and Yachem PHC and on July 30.
Gynecologist, Dr. Ademla along with her team from IMDH Mokokchung, assisted by gynecologist, Dr. Imnameren, anesthetists, Dr. Wannau Phom and district hospital staff performed sterilization (tubectomy) on 39 females at District Hospital Longleng.
