To promote and advocate the people who are physically challenged and to ensure mainstreaming and inclusion of physically challenged people in the society, Care and Support Society (CSS) Mokokchung had conducted a devotional service on July 26 at Impur Baptist Church.
Delivering an introductory speech, coordinator CBR Menangchaba and Pastor Impur Baptist Church Rev. Teka welcomed the visitors and appreciated CSS for taking the initiative for organizing the programme for the cause of the people with disability as well as for society.
At the programme, Mokokchung District Blind Association (MDBA) correspondent secretary, Rashi presented a song, “Who am I” and Temjennungsang multiple disability and member of Disable People Organization Longmisa (DPOL) also presented a song, “kotak nung kimong ka” through mouth organ.
Katibenla member of Disable People Organization Khensa (DPOK) also presented a song titled “my mother land” and Lanupokyim, a locomotor from Longsa village shared his life testimony.
Coordinator, PPTCT Burtula highlighted about CSS while CSS managing director Imchawati Kichu delivered the word of God on the topic, “God created human being in His own image and likeness”.
He encouraged Church members to come forward and contribute for the cause of physically challenged people in the community.
Kichu also called upon the Church to solemnly observe disable Sunday which had been set aside by ABAM. He also pledged to support the NGO in its endeavour to uplift the PwDs.
