CHK: Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) has expressed sadness at the demise of late Velaho Puro who passed away on July 29 at Kohima. CHK said late Puro had been a good wrestler and his wrestling legacy would be a great source of inspiration to the younger generation. Further, CHK has conveyed condolences and prayed for solace to the bereaved family and the departed soul to rest in peace.
Dr. M.M Thromwa: Bharat Jyoti Dr. M. M Thromwa Konyak has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden demise of visionary scientist late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Konyak said late Dr Kalam’s teaching and disciplinary code shall be “our” master and guide. He also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NWA: Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has expressed shock at the sad demise of late Velahii Puro of Kikriima village, Phek District at Naga Hospital Kohima on July 29. In a condolence message NWA said late Puro had been the first individual champion of NWA in 1972 and was associated with wrestling association through his valuable advices and shouldering of office responsibilities till he breathed his last. NWA said that his death had created a vacuum amongst the wrestling fraternity of Nagaland which would be difficult to fill. Further, NWA has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
T. Impongsoted Chang: Former ANSTA president, Tuensang T. Impongsoted Chang has mourned the demise of Dr. Avul Pakir Jairnul Abdeen Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. Chang hoped that Naga youngsters would also learn from Kalam’s life and be a substance of women and men of the generation for “our” people and nation as a whole. He further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
