Speaker clarifies on news report

NLA Speaker and convenor Nagaland Legislators Forum, Chostisuh Sazo has refuted the news report by IANS– “Nagaland MLAs asked to create consensus”, which appeared in section of the local daily on August 30. In a clarification, Sazo stated that report was misleading as RN Ravi, Interlocutor for Naga talks, had never issued any directives to the MLAs to go to their respective constituencies nor create hype regarding the accord.
He said that the consultative meeting with Nagaland Legislators Forum (NLF) and R.N. Ravi was held with “utmost cordiality and participation”. Sazo also reminded that the NLF adopted three resolutions after Ravi’s departure, which was widely publicized in the print and electronic media on August 28.He urged upon the media fraternity to crosscheck facts and figure before publication of such misleading articles.
