Three Naga women entrepreneurs were awarded the ‘Vasundhara NE Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ from among various women entrepreneurs of the region.
The recipients were– Karen Yepthomi of Dzukou Kitchen, who bagged the Vasundhara Women Entrepreneur Award for 2015-16 from Nagaland, Temsusenla of Fusion Store bagged the Vasundhara Women Entrepreneur Award for 2016-17 from Nagaland.
Meanwhile, the Vasundhara Hall of Fame award was given to Jesmina Zeliang of Nagaland for promoting handicraft items.
Apart from the 17 State awardees, five exceptionally successful women entrepreneurs from the North Eastern region were inducted into the Vasundhara Hall of Fame and honoured on April 26 at New Delhi.
The event, which is the first of its kind, was organised by Guwahati-based Sreemanta Sankar Mission in partnership with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry and supported by minster of DoNER and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The event was graced by IGP, Robin Hibu as chief guest.
