Organizations appeal SAPO and Mao Council

Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZBN) has expressed concern over the land dispute between the SAPO and Mao council. 
A press release issued by president Rangsam N. Hau and general secretary Meijiang Gonmei stated it support government and other organisations towards resolving this issue.
 ZBN has pleaded the two conflicting parties to sort out the issue amicably without resorting to violence in the interest of the Tenyimi and Nagas in general. 
It further stated that others should not be given the chance to “obstruct” the “good practices of traditional and customary laws” of Nagas in resolving conflicts in the future. 
ZBN has appealed both conflicting party to “pave way for settlement in the true spirit of Naga brotherhood”. 
In another joint statement, Bishop of Kohima and Archbishop of Imphal both appealed to the two communities, “to iron out differences in a Christian way”. 
The release stated, as the heads of the Catholic Church in Manipur and Nagaland, “we are pained to hear of the ongoing conflict between the Southern Angami and the Mao communities, who are Tenyimi brothers by tradition, over land which is the common heritage”. 
The press release also stated that “peaceful co-existence is a courageous decision. It requires give and take attitude, humility, sincerity and the willingness to come to the negotiating table”.
