Noting that stones, logs, timber and construction materials have been dumped on the roadside and drains causing inconvenience and hazardous to the public, Kohima deputy commissioner, Rovilatuo Mor IAS has directed all concerned to remove all construction materials and goods along the National Highway 2, National Highway -62 and Jotsoma Bye- Pass road within seven days from the date of notification.
Failing which, the DC has warned that materials will be removed, confiscated and disposed off as deemed fit and defaulters to be penalized as per the provision of the law.
The order has been issued under Sub Section 21 of the Nagaland Highway Act 1967 that is no person without prior approval of the authority is to deposit or cause to be deposited building materials, goods or other articles on any Highways.
