Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Zunheboto observed its 11th Fresher’s Social 2015 at Town Hall here on May 23.
At least 237 students including both girls and boys have been enrolled in two streams (Arts, Science etc) of GHSS Zunheboto for the academic year2015-2016.
GHSS Zunheboto assistant headmaster Kughavi Yepthomi, who was the speaker of the day, exhorted the students while stressing on various principles including self confidence, honesty and truth, obedience, aim in life, fearing God etc. He asserted that “without these virtues no student can achieve good education and academic excellence”.
At the programme, fresh students did self introduction followed by felicitation of the freshers by the senior students (Class-XII). Speech on behalf of the freshers; songs and entertainment were the highlights of the day.
Rules and regulation, synopsis of the school and academic guidance was highlighted by GHSS Zunheboto PGT (Geo) Oketo Z Chishi followed by PGT (Education) Ajungla delivering congratulatory note.
Earlier, the programme began with a welcome song by students; invocation prayer a student of Class-XII followed by welcome note by a Class-XII (Arts) student.
The event concluded with vote of thanks and benediction by a class-xii (arts) and Evangelical Union (EU) secretary respectively.
